Toei Animation Europe announced that Portugal's Dreamia Group has a broadcast license for all 200 episodes of Sailor Moon in Portuguese! The show will be part of their Childrens' Pay TV channel, Canal Panda. The show will premiere on March 7th, airing at 1:00 PM and 8:30 PM on weekdays, and 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM on weekends. But the even more surprising part, is that Dreamia also has the rights to bring Sailor Moon to Africa's shores for the very first time! We here at Moon Chase are all very excited about this. The Portuguese speaking countries of Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, and the Republic of Cape Verde will all be experiencing Sailor Moon later this year in Portuguese. Finally, almost 20 years after first being broadcast in Japan, Sailor Moon will have touched every continent on Earth (minus Antarctica). Congratulations to Sailor Moon on your continued success worldwide!

I don't know if she actually watched anything there, but a friend of mine is a sailor moon fan who has been to antarctica. :)
That's very cool and now people living in Africa will be able to see Sailor Moon for the first time and be able to see a show that's enlightened and touched millions of kids around the world, mainly in Japan and America.
That's definitely good news indeed and hope the company in America sees this and decides to bring Sailor Moon back in America as well.
omigodomigodomigod
this is AMAZING news!!!
how are OUR results, on the other hand?
Yay! I love Sailor Moon with all my heart and I'm so glad it's returning to Tv/Publishing!!
I just hope it makes it to America, so I can watch it too.
If possible, can someone please make a post with all of the TV airing and On-Demand/Pay-Per-View style information for every country? Like all of the dates, times, sites, etc.
I wanna make a thread somewhere will all of the information and it'd be nice if I could just find it all in one spot without having to re-look through Moon Chase posts. I'll definitely credit this site when I make the thread. Thanks! =)
im happy for them!
hopefully bring sailor moon in america sooner!
It's not the first time that sailor moon was broadcast in Africa.
The french dub was broadcast in north africa in the 90s.
